I'm all for surprising and original in my SF. I just find it funny to hear that from Adam Roberts, who has been pissing away his once interesting talents on numerous cash-in books along the lines of 'The Soddit', 'The DaVinci Cod', 'The McAtrix', and so on and on and on until we all die of boredom.

Good god, I hadn't registered any of that was Roberts - and the tip of the parody iceberg, according to his website: Doctor Whom. Star Warped. The Sellamillion. No, stop it, you're killing me.
